Internal Affairs

The Internal Affairs Committee, chaired by the Vice President of Internal Affairs, is tasked with ensuring that the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Student Government Association operates in alignment with its goals and mission. Chaired by the Vice President of Internal Affairs, the committee oversees the election and appointment processes, including organizing elections and conducting the selection and hiring of all Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵSGA administrative positions. The committee also evaluates internal structural issues, such as potential amendments to the Constitution and Bylaws, and handles cases of impeachment, making initial determinations on whether complaints warrant further consideration by the full Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵSGA. Additionally, it collaborates with the Board of Trustees to select Student Trustee candidates, managing interviews and ensuring only two or three candidates appear on the ballot. The committee is also responsible for keeping the campus community updated about Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵSGA activities through Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵSGA’s social media accounts (@realccsga).
This year, Internal Affairs will work on expanding awareness on campus about what Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵSGA is and what we do, workshop ideas to increase engagement in Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵSGA activities and elections (Josh and John’s on campus for voting day?!) and will work closely with other committees to ensure that Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵSGA operations are going smoothly, among other things!
